Labyrinth on Broadway

Students will design for an original production of the 1980's movie LABYRINTH  for the Gershwin Theatre on Broadway!

Students will...

• Read and interpret script as a large group

• The students will select...

                             Track 1: Set, Props, Lighting, Sound

                             Track 2: Costume, Makeup, Wig, Wardrobe 

For each section on Track, 

• Design, Draw, Color

• Create Material List

• Build Original Design

• Present, Explain, Defend Choices

• Photograph and Input into Document

Questions to think about...

1. How can you design with our commitment to EQUITY in mind?

After Tracks section of unit is complete, students will work in small groups to Direct and Choreograph an original storytelling dance to "Dance, Magic Dance" from the 1980's movie, Labyrinth. 

Students will...

• Divide the song into sections for each student to own

• Teach and Learn each section from each other

• Critique using the Critical Response Process  

• 1-on-1 to rate other students on a 1 - 3 scale of participation and contribution to group activity
